THE COMPONENT & MATERIALS GUIDE

Know the pieces.
Understand the whole.

A visual index of the 16 concrete components, how they fit together, and how their quantities become a planning estimate.

Concept dimensions in metres. Prices are illustrative USD allowances. Concrete values below are nominal solid-volume proxies that you can replace with project-specific production quantities.

FROM AN INDEX ENTRY TO A SITE TOTAL

A part keeps its identity.
A structure adds its context.

  1. 01 / Component

    Choose a catalog piece.

PC01–PC16 identify the visual models. Each entry carries a size, family, default price and material-volume basis. Width × depth describes the footprint; height is vertical.

  2. 02 / Structure

    Assemble one room.

Place connected floors, add walls and openings, then roofs. Studio uses a 0.1 m grid and 90° turns. Save the assembly with a name, revision and price snapshot.

  3. 03 / Site

    Repeat the design.

Each placed copy retains its chosen revision. Site quantities add all the constituent pieces, including repeated storeys and external stair modules.

  4. 04 / Materials

    Review the basis.

Multiply each piece quantity by its concrete volume. Apply your allowance and local concrete rate separately from the finished-piece planning prices.

Understand the placement checks

Start with edge-connected floor tiles. All other pieces stay within the floor footprint. Envelopes cannot overlap, including the reserved space in door and window openings. Roof bays need wall contact at both ends; roof-edge pieces sit over flat roofs.

Build one storey of up to 160 pieces in Structure Studio. In Site Planner, eligible assemblies can stack to four storeys at 3.25 m intervals, with complete flat-roof coverage from one assembly below. PC16 stairs are placed separately in Site Planner. These checks establish geometric fit, not structural strength, connection design, access compliance or print readiness.

How the figures are calculated

Piece allowance: quantity × the price carried by the chosen revision. Different revision prices remain separate rows. Blank used prices make the total unpriced. Default prices are synthetic, not verified GSA, Sourcewell or supplier quotations.

Concrete: quantity × per-piece volume, then × (1 + allowance % ÷ 100). The default is the nominal solid geometry of the visual model: openings and the channel void are deducted; shared stair volumes count once. Rounded print courses and any future hollow shells or reinforcement are not represented. Replace the per-piece values with approved production quantities when available. A changed volume for one catalog component applies to every row for that component.

Keep the cost views separate: concrete-only cost = volume including allowance × your local rate. It is not added to the piece allowances, which have a different, undefined supply scope. Legacy components have no concrete basis and are marked incomplete instead of treated as zero.

This is a planning worksheet. It does not specify a print mix, toolpath, reinforcement, connections, foundations, waste factor or construction sequence. Freight, labor, equipment, curing, finishing, services and taxes need their own project estimate.
